Handmade Pressed Flower Jar Craft for Kids
Pressed flower jars are a beautiful way to keep nature’s colors alive. Kids can collect flowers and leaves, dry them, and turn them into a handmade craft that looks like a jar full of blossoms. It’s easy, creative, and makes a lovely gift or decoration.
What You Need
- Real flowers and leaves (collected ahead of time)
- Old heavy books (for pressing and drying flowers)
- Jar template (printed on sheet)
- Craft board
- Transparent sheet or white tissue paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Ribbon, yarn, or string

🌟 How to Make
- Prepare Flowers
- Collect real flowers and leaves.
- Place them inside old books to dry for 2–4 weeks.
- Make the Jar Base
- Print and cut out a jar template.
- Trace and cut the jar shape from craft board.
- Cut out the inside square part of the jar.
- Add the Transparent Layer
- Cut a piece of transparent sheet or tissue paper.
- Paste it behind the jar cutout to cover the open space.
- You can use the printable square shape for easy sizing.
- Paste the Flowers
- Arrange and glue the dried flowers and leaves on the transparent sheet.
- Let them dry well.
- Decorate the Jar
- Tie a ribbon, yarn, or string around the jar lid.
