Easy Paper Plate Wreath Crafts for Kids
Paper plate wreaths are fun, colorful, and super easy to make. With just a paper plate, some decorations, and tissue paper strips, you can create beautiful hanging crafts for your classroom or home.
What You Need
- Paper plates or craft board
- Printed ring shape template (optional)
- Colored sheets (for circles, flowers, butterflies, stars, hearts)
- Crayons or markers
- Scissors ✂️
- Glue stick
- Colorful tissue paper strips
- Yarn, ribbon, or string (for hanging)

- Make the Ring
- Take a paper plate and cut out the inside circle to make a ring shape.
- Or print the ring template on craft board and cut it out.
- Decorate the Ring
- Print shapes like circles, flowers, butterflies, stars, or hearts on colored sheets.
- You can also print them on white sheets and color with crayons or markers.
- Cut out the shapes neatly and paste them around the paper plate ring.
- Add glitter, stickers, or paint for extra decoration.
- Add Hanging Strips
- Cut colorful tissue paper into long, wavy strips.
- Paste them at the bottom of the paper plate ring.
- Attach the Loop
- Tie yarn, ribbon, or string at the top of the paper plate.
