What is the world kindness Day?

World Kindness Day is a day dedicated to kindness and compassion. So, this beautiful day falls on November 13 every year. To make the world a better place through small positive actions, this day was celebrated for the first time in 1998.  Certainly, this day is very important to remember the hidden kindness in people. On this day, you can help, praise, and treat your friends, parents, and elders with love. And this day reminds everyone big and small of the value of kindness. simple World Kindness Day activities for kindergarteners:

1. Kindness Chain

Here’s a great activity for kids to do on World Kindness Day. This is very easy. That is why children can do it on their own. So, only a few simple materials are needed for this.

Materials needed: glue, scissors, strips of colored paper, pens or pencils, colored sticks

  • Step 1: Take some different colored sheets. Cut paper strips from those papers and distribute them among the children.
  • Step 2: Then let the children draw a picture of an act of kindness or write a sentence on the strips of paper provided.
  • Step 3: Finally collect all those strips of paper. Then, attach them together as a chain. Now you can complete the chain of kindness.
2. Make Kindness Cards

This activity is one of the World Kindness Day activities. This activity is a wonderful idea for developing children’s creativity. This is because children can write, draw, cut, and paste anything they like on the blank board provided according to their preferences. Especially, children can send a kind message to their loved ones. We can hand deliver, mail, or let them bring home their kind card.

Materials: cardstock paper, colored paper, pencils/pens or crayons, scissors, glue, crayons

  • Step 1: First take a cardstock paper. Make a card by folding it in half.
  • Step 2: Later, Let the children decorate the board with crayons, pencils, colored paper, glue and scissors.

3. Compliment Circle

  • Step 1: Place a chalkboard or whiteboard in the classroom where children can easily use it. And allocate a space on it for each child to make it easy for them to draw or write.

  • Step 3: Next, using the materials provided, draw pictures of the kinds of events on the rocks.
6. Read Kindness Books

This activity is a great opportunity to increase children’s interest in reading and learn about kindness. Set aside some time for reading at school. 7. Kindness Jar

This is an activity that encourages children to do acts of kindness. And, it’s an activity where kids can be happy about their kindness. What happens here is that the children add their kind notes to the jar kept in the classroom. Once this jar is full, celebrate it with the kids. This encourages children to fill the bin further. Through this, their feelings of kindness increase.

Materials Needed: A jar, paper, pen or pencil

  • Step 1: First, place a container in the classroom where the children can easily use it.
  • Step 2: Then instruct the children how to do it. “Write every act of kindness you do on a piece of paper and put it in this jar.” Guide the children to follow these instructions.
  • Step 3: After filling the jar with the children’s kind notes, celebrate the day by making a day of the children’s choice.
8. Sing a Kindness Song

This is the best fun and positive way to teach children to be kind. This is because children are interested in hearing and singing songs. Because of this, children can be taught simple songs about kindness. Sing along with them.

9. Make Thank-You Posters

Giving thanks is also an opportunity to be kind. It means being respectful and kind to one another. There are many supporters around the children. Therefore, teach these interspersions how to help children. Then the children will have kind feelings towards them. Additionally, have the children create a thank you poster recognizing their contribution.
