How to Make a Halloween Haunted House Paper Craft

1. Make the Halloween Night Background

  • Start with a white A4 sheet or cardstock for the craft background.
  • Color the whole sheet using dark blue, purple, or a mixture of both colors to create a spooky Halloween night sky. You can use paints, oil pastels, or crayons.
  • Once the background is finished, keep it aside and let it dry completely if you used paint.

2. Print the Halloween Templates

  • Next, print the Halloween shapes.
  • Print the moon shape on yellow paper. Print the ghosts and jack-o'-lantern on white paper so children can color them.
  • Print the haunted house, spooky tree, grass, and bats on white paper. Color these shapes black or another dark Halloween color before cutting them out.

3. Cut Out the Halloween Shapes

  • Carefully cut around the outside outlines of all the printed Halloween shapes.
  • Younger children may need help cutting around smaller or more detailed parts.

4. Arrange the Halloween Scene

  • Take your finished night-sky background and arrange all the cutouts on it before adding glue.
  • You can arrange them like the example craft or create your own Halloween scene. Place the haunted house and grass near the bottom, add the moon in the sky, and arrange the ghosts, bats, spooky tree, and jack-o'-lantern wherever you like.

5. Glue the Cutouts

  • Once you are happy with the arrangement, glue each cutout onto the background.
  • Gently press each piece down so it stays flat and securely attached.

6. Let It Dry and Display

  • Keep the finished craft aside and let the glue dry completely.
  • Once dry, display your Halloween haunted house paper craft on a classroom wall, bulletin board, door, or at home for a fun and spooky Halloween decoration.

Important Printing Note
