- Patterns: You can see how the dresses given here are designed in different patterns. Stripe patterns, zig-zag patterns, and wave patterns are the patterns that can be seen in these dresses. Children get the opportunity to see and recognize those patterns through this. Additionally, Children’s artistic abilities can be developed through their pattern knowledge.

At the end of the activity, the children’s attention is drawn to the color of the dress they have decorated. This activity is a great opportunity for you to introduce colors to children.

At school, you can use this activity as an assessment at the end of a lesson.
Why is this activity essential for children?
This activity helps children understand many lessons. Children learn from their experiences. Therefore learning through experience is more important than oral or written education. The reason for that is the way children’s minds work in this age range.
So, through these kinds of activities, children gain new experiences.
Another purpose of this assignment is to make children study in a fun way. The desire to learn in children increases through it. What they willingly learn is permanently embedded in children’s minds.
These activities allow children to do it individually. This helps the teacher to get a better understanding of the children about each other. This is a good opportunity for the teacher to check how far their children have acquired their knowledge. Likewise, after identifying the children, it is a reason to correct the child’s weaknesses and improve the skills.
What skills can children develop through this activity?
• Shape Recognition: This activity is done by associating shapes. It gives the children the opportunity to re-identify the shapes. And previous knowledge about shapes in children is renewed. All these help children learn shapes.
• Fine motor skills: pasting, cutting, and picking, these are all soft skills. These skills are developed in children through the activities they do. This activity also contributes to the children. Picking out each shape and sticking them together is a fine motor activity that children do.
• Problem-Solving: An activity is a challenge for children. Otherwise, it is a problem that needs to be solved. Children try to find answers to the problem by following the instructions given to them. So they think alone. It sharpens the problem-solving skills of children.
• Decision-Making: As this is an individual activity, children work independently. Children have to make different decisions during the activities. Children make their own decisions about which shapes to choose, where to stick them, the order in which they should be placed, etc. This improves the decision-making ability of children.
• Color Exploration: As this is an individual activity, children work on this activity and also help children identify colors by doing this activity using different colors. So children understand the most suitable color combinations for the designs through the beauty of the colors of the dresses.
• Self-Expression: Children are satisfied with their actions at the end of their activity. Showing it to others builds self-esteem. This is an opportunity for children to express their personal style.
• Focus: Attention is one of the hardest things to build in children. Activities like these help children practice. In order to finish it, attention should be paid to the activity of the children. And the reason to focus is patience.
• Creative Thinking: It is important to give children the freedom to think while doing this activity. Children have to make different decisions to increase the beauty of asthma. It encourages them to think creatively. Direct children to such activities to develop creative thinking in children.
