Earth Day is all about showing love and care for our planet. This craft helps kids make a smiling Earth holding a heart, with nature symbols hanging below. It’s fun, creative, and teaches children that protecting the Earth means protecting flowers, trees, water, and animals too.

What You Need:

  • Printed Earth template
  • Crayons, paints, or markers
  • Craft board or cardstock
  • Hand and heart templates (printed on colored sheets)
  • Nature images (flower, leaf, water drop, bee, tree)
  • Yarn or string
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Hole punch

How to Make:

  1. Make the Earth
    • Print the Earth and color it using crayons, paints, or markers.
    • Paste it on a craft board and cut around the outline.
  2. Add hands and heart
    • Print hand and heart shapes on colored sheets.
    • Cut them out.
    • Paste the two hands on each side of the Earth so they meet in the middle.
    • Paste the heart where the hands meet.
  3. Attach the strings
    • Punch holes along the bottom of the Earth.
    • Tie yarn or string through the holes.
  4. Add nature images
    • Print and cut out pictures of a flower, leaf, water drop, bee, and tree.
    • Paste each one at the end of the strings.
  5. Display your craft
    • Hang your Earth craft on the wall and let it remind everyone to love and care for our planet!
