What You Need

  • Heart templates (printed or hand-drawn)
  • Colored tissue paper (tear or cut into small pieces)
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon (for hanging)
  • Hole punch (to make a hole for the ribbon)

How to Make

  1. Choose and print a heart design: Pick a heart template you like and print it.
  2. Glue to cardstock: Paste the printed heart onto cardstock to make it strong and sturdy.
  3. Prepare tissue pieces: Tear or cut colored tissue paper into small pieces.
  4. Paste the tissue: Apply glue on the heart shape and stick the tissue pieces neatly until the whole heart is covered.
  5. Let it dry: Keep the heart aside for a while so the glue can dry.
  6. Punch a hole: Use a hole punch at the top of the heart.
  7. Attach the ribbon: Tie a ribbon through the hole so you can hang your colorful tissue paper heart.
