How to make Sea Animal Paper Plate Crafts?

Below are step-by-step instructions on how to create one sea creature at a time. You will also receive a paper plate image of the sea creature. Then, by following the instructions below, you can create an underwater world. Let’s follow these ideas and try.

🐟 1. Fish

  • First, take a paper plate.
  • Now you can color this paper plate any color you like. But we colored this paper plate pink.
  • Then cut a triangular section from one side of the paper plate. This will be the mouth of the fish.
  • Take a piece of cardboard and cut out a semi-circular shape from it. Then place it on the paper plate opposite the side where the mouth is cut out and glue it. Before gluing, paint this part in the same color as the fish. This part is the fish’s tail fin.
  • Also, in the middle of the paper plate, draw two or three wavy lines in a matching color. These are the fish’s scales.
  • Finally, glue a googly eye to finish off your fish.

πŸ¦€ 2. Crab

  • Color the paper plate red or orange.
  • Then cut it into a shape slightly larger than a semicircle.
  • Then cut out 10 thin 2-inch rectangles and two 5-inch rectangles from red or orange paper. Also, cut out two crab claw shapes.
  • Then, glue 8, 3-inch rectangular pieces as the crab’s legs, and glue the remaining two in the middle above the crab’s head. Then glue the crab’s eyes onto those two pieces.
  • Next, glue two 5’ -long rectangles on either side of the eyes. Glue and cut the claws to the ends of them.
  • Finally, draw a mouth and decorate your crab.

🐒 3. Sea Turtle

  • Take a sheet of paper and cut it into a semi-circular shape. Then color it green or brown.
  • Also, draw and color irregular shapes in the middle to create a sea turtle’s shell.
  • Next, cut out the fins from a piece of cardboard. Cut out two semi-oval shapes and color them. Then glue the fins to the underside of the sea turtle’s shell.
  • Then cut out a head from another piece of cardboard and color it. Attach it to the front of the shell.
  • Finally, glue an eye and a mouth to the head.

4. Jellyfish

  • Cut the peppercorn plate exactly in the middle and take half of it. Now color it in a color of your choice.
  • Then stick googly eyes on it. Also, draw a mouth.
  • Then cut several rectangular pieces of colored paper of several colors, 10′ long and 1′ wide.
  • Then glue them in a line along the flat edge of the paper plate. These are the tentacles of the jellyfish.
  • You can carefully curl them to make them more decorative.

πŸ™ 5. Octopus

  • For the octopus’s head, take the entire sheet of paper.
  • Then color it in a color of your choice.
  • Glue two googly eyes on it. Also, draw a smiling mouth under the eyes.
  • Then cut and glue 8 long, thin rectangles to the bottom of the paper plate. These will be the octopus’s tentacles.
  • Later, finish by placing small white dots on the tentacles.

🦈 6. Shark

  • You can use the entire sheet of paper for the shark. First, color the sheet of paper blue or gray.
  • Then, glue two googly eyes on it. Draw the shark’s mouth below the eyes. It draws a mouth with sharp teeth, as shown in the image below.
  • Finally, cut three pieces of shark fin-shaped board and glue them to the top and sides of the paper plate.

🦐 7. Shrimp

  • Cut the plate into a long curved shape like a shrimp body.
  • Draw small lines to show its segments.
  • Cut thin strips of paper for the shrimp’s legs and antennae.
  • Glue them under the body.

🐬 8. Dolphin

  • Cut the paper plate into a dolphin body shape with a curved back.
  • Use the leftover piece to cut out the dolphin’s fins and tail.
  • Glue the fins and tail to the body.
  • Color it blue or grey and draw the dolphin’s face.

🐚 9. Sea Shell

  • Draw a shell pattern on the paper plate.
  • Cut the plate into a shell shape if you like.
  • Color it with light pink, cream, or any pastel color.
  • Add glitter glue to make it shine.

10. Sea Horse

  • Take and cut the cardboard into a seahorse shape (adults can help with this).
  • Color it with bright colors like orange or yellow.
  • Draw details like small fins and scales. Also, glue the googly eye.
  • Now, take the paper plate and cut it into a semicircle or crescent shape, then stick some colored dots on it.
  • Then stick that paper plate to the seahorse’s belly.

11. Stingray

  • Cut the paper plate into a diamond-like stingray shape.
  • Color it grey or brown.
  • Cut and glue a long tail from the paper to the back.
  • Draw eyes on top.

🐑 12. Pufferfish

  • Keep the plate round like a pufferfish.
  • Color it yellow, orange, or brown.
  • Draw, cut, and glue small spikes all around.
  • Also, put small dots in the middle of the paper plate.
  • Cut out small fins and a mouth and glue them to the paper plate.

Tips:

  • When coloring the paper plates, children can use paints, watercolors, pencils, or markers. However, paints or watercolors are best. Let them dry before using.
  • Instead of coloring, you can glue colored paper. Use the method that is easiest for you.
  • You can use permanent markers, paint markers, gel pens, or pencils to draw on the paper plate.
  • You can cut out the shapes you want for easy use for the youngest children. Otherwise, draw the cut edges and give them to them.
  • Don’t forget to share more facts about each animal with your children as they create them.
  • At the end of the creation, let the children gather all the animals and create their underwater wall.
