Why Easter Crafts Are Great for Toddlers:

Children love to have fun with crafts and have a creative experience. They are amazed when they see their crafts at the end. Therefore, children are encouraged to be creative. So, in this blog post, we bring to you this Easter craft, which is one of the most fun crafts for kids. Kids can get more than just fun, curiosity, and creativity from these Easter crafts. So, let’s explore what they are.

  • Develop fine motor skills: These Easter crafts give children the opportunity to do fine motor activities that encourage hand-eye coordination. For example, you can demonstrate simple activities such as cutting, gluing, and coloring. These activities also help children develop fine motor skills by exercising their fingers.
  • Learn about colors and shapes: Children will have to work with different colors and shapes to complete this project, so this will be a great opportunity for children to recognize colors and shapes.
  • Practice following simple instructions: This blog post encourages children to follow step-by-step instructions for creating Easter crafts. As adults, make sure to clearly explain and guide them through each step.
  • Use their imagination: While creating, children also develop their imagination skills. That is, they imagine different things in their minds based on the images they see, the activities they do, and their experiences. This creates a story, a song, and friendly conversations between children. This is a very good example of children’s mental development.
  • Celebrate the season with joy: We should teach our children about our culture, religion, and society from their earliest years. But it is more important to allow them to experience creative experiences than to identify with young children. Then children will naturally gain those experiences and experience the wonder of the Easter season.

How to Use These Templates:

Step 1: Download and print the templates

Firstly, download the PDF provided to you. Then print the templates in it. Use colored printer paper for this. If it is a bit darker, it will give more beauty to your craft. But you can use any suitable color you like.

Step 2: Cut around the Egg shape

Now, cut out the egg shape from the printed paper.

Step 3: Cut out the middle shape of the egg

Next, you need to cut out the shape in the middle of the egg. You will see an outline of different shapes and a space in the middle of the egg.

Step 4: Fill in the space in the middle of the egg

Finally, the space in the middle of the egg shape needs to be filled. And, you can use any method you like. For example, you can use colored paper, tissue paper, transparent paper, ribbon, paint, natural materials, etc.

How to fill the space in the middle of the egg:

* Paste colorful paper for the shape space:

Cut a piece of colored paper the same size as the shape in the middle of the egg and paste it on it. You can use different types of paper for this. You can use any type of paper, such as tissue paper, construction paper, varnished paper, matte paper, or transparent paper.

* Tear / crumpled or cut out the paper and paste it on the shape space:

This activity can be more active for the kids, and the design can be creative. But since you have already cut out the shape in the middle of the egg, you will have to find an alternative. You can do this activity without cutting out the shape in the middle of the egg. Otherwise, follow the steps below.

1. Attach the shape space with strips of Sellotape. Then put your paper pieces on top..

2. Glue a piece of paper over the shape space and glue your paper pieces on top with glue.

3. Glue together torn or cut pieces of paper to create a grid to fill in the empty spaces. (This will not work with crumpled paper.)

For this activity, use a type of paper that is easy for you to tear, fold, and cut. Tissue paper works best.

* Apply colors, stickers, or fingerprints

To do this, first cover the shape space with a colorless paper.

  1. Then let the children color on it. Any medium, such as pencils, paints, or watercolors, is suitable for this.
  2. You can stick stickers on blank paper. Use any type of sticker, such as dot stickers, heart stickers, or happy faces. But colorful dot stickers work best.
  3. Or make colorful fingerprints. In addition to fingerprints, you can also make sponge prints or stencils for this.
