Step 2: Cut along the dashed lines on the template:
You will see a dotted line at the bottom of the template you printed. The globe is above the cut line, and the eyes and mouth are below. Now all you have to do is cut along the dashed line with scissors to separate the template into two parts. Then you can get a single sheet with the globe.
Step 2: Tear the colored Paper
Next, give the children green, blue, and white construction paper. Also, give them three small bowls. Then, instruct them to tear the paper you gave them into small pieces. Similarly, instruct them to collect the torn pieces of paper into small containers by color. In this way, tear enough pieces of paper to stick on the Earth globe.
Pro Tip: If you’re reusing old magazines or paper scraps, this is a wonderful opportunity to teach kids about recycling.

Step 3: Glue the torn colored paper onto the globe.
- Provide each child with a printed Earth template.
- Paste the ocean area of the Earth with torn pieces of blue paper.
- Next, paste the land area of the Earth (without the land area below) with torn pieces of green paper.
- Take pieces of white paper and stick them on the landmass at the bottom of the globe. (This landmass represents the Antarctic continent.)

Step 4: Cut out the eyes and mouth from the template.
Take the remaining part of the template you cut out in Step 2. Then, using scissors, cut out the eyes and mouth separately.

Step 5: Glue the eyes and mouth on the globe
Then, take the globe that you have pasted with colored paper. In the middle of it, paste the two eyes and mouth that you have cut out as shown in the image below. Now you have completed your Earth Day craft.

Step 4: Add Personal Touches
You can take this craft further by giving children pencils, crayons, markers, colored pencils, or stickers. Then, encourage them to write a note about Earth Day around their creation. For that, children can draw pictures, write sentences, compose songs, and even put stickers on it.
Step 5: Display with Pride
Once your creation is complete, let it dry thoroughly. Then you can display it in class or on your desk. So display your torn colored paper globe on the wall, refrigerator, or craft board.
