Kites are bright, fun, and full of color! This simple craft lets kids make their own paper kites with bows and strings. It’s easy to do with just a few supplies, and the finished kites can be hung up in the classroom or at home to bring joy and creativity to any space.

What You Need

  • Kite body template (printed on white paper)
  • Bow shapes template (printed on colored paper)
  • Crayons or markers
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • String pieces

How to Make

01. Print kite and bow templates: Print the kite body on white paper and bow shapes on colored paper.

02. Color and cut shapes: Color the kite body with crayons, then cut out the kite and bow shapes.

03. Attach the string: Paste a piece of string to the bottom of the kite to make the tail.

04. Add the bows: Paste the bow shapes along the string to decorate the kite.

05. Display your kite: Hang your colorful kite on the wall or window for a cheerful decoration.
