DIY Autumn Collage Crafts for Kids

Autumn is the season of colorful leaves and playful fun! This collage craft lets kids mix drawing, coloring, and torn‑paper art to create their own fall scenes. What You Need

Printable tree template (brown sheet)
Character or object templates (printed on white sheets)
Crayons or markers
Colorful paper (red, orange, yellow, green)
Scissors
Glue
White background sheet

How to Make

Prepare the tree:
- Print the tree template on brown paper.
- Cut it out neatly along the outline.
- Or print the tree on a white sheet, color it brown, and keep it as the background sheet without cutting.
Prepare the character or object:
- Print on white sheets.
- Color them nicely using crayons, pastels, colored pencils or markers.
- Cut them out along the outline.
Make the leaves:
- Use colorful paper (red, orange, yellow, green).
- Cut or tear into small pieces for leaves.
Build the background:
- Take a white sheet for the background.
- Paste the tree cutout in the left corner.
- Paste the character or object at the bottom area, leaving space for the leaf pile.
Add the leaves:
- Paste colorful paper pieces on the tree branches.
- Paste more pieces at the bottom to make a leaf pile under the character, covering the lower part so it looks like the character is inside the pile.
Finish and display:
- Let the collage dry.
- Show your autumn artwork proudly in the classroom or at home.
