Cute Halloween Crafts for Kids: Haunted House Fun

Want to add some Halloween atmosphere to your classroom for the Halloween party? Then let’s make a haunted house full of ghosts. This craft is an easy and fun craft that kids can do together. All they have to do is create something creative using simple activities like coloring, cutting, and gluing. So, come on, I’ll show you how to make this fun and scary house.

What You Need:

Printed templates
Large cardboard circle (for the moon)
Extra cardboard pieces
Crayons or markers
Paints (black and yellow)
Scissors

How to Make:

Step 01: Download and print the templates

Start by downloading and printing the templates provided below. You can use colored paper if you like—then you won’t need to color them later.

Step 02: Cut out the moon shape

Take a large piece of cardboard and cut out a circle for the moon. If your haunted house fits an A4 size, a 25 cm moon works well. But feel free to adjust the size as you wish.

Step 03: Color or paint the templates and the moon

Use crayons or markers to color the small images like the witch, bats, and tree. For larger shapes like the haunted house and moon, paint them with black and yellow. Let everything dry completely.

Step 04: Cut out the templates

Carefully cut out the colored images. For the haunted house, glue it onto a piece of cardboard before cutting—it needs extra strength. Then cut out the house shape, windows, and door.

Step 05: Assemble the haunted scene

Start with the haunted house. Glue the pumpkins and ghosts behind the windows and door so they peek through. Then attach the tree beside the house. Next, take the moon and glue the witch and bats flying across it.

Step 06: Display your Halloween craft

Choose a flat surface like a desk or table near a wall. Attach the moon to the wall using glue or tape. Place the haunted house in front of the moon. You can glue the top of the house to the moon for support, or use a folded cardboard triangle stand behind the house to keep it upright.
