What You Need
- White paper or cardstock
- Colored paper (red, pink, purple, yellow, rainbow, etc.)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Markers or crayons
- Optional: glitter, stickers, or paint
How to Make
- Print the hearts: Print the given heart templates on white sheets of paper.
- Cut out the inside parts: Carefully cut along the inside shapes of the hearts so you have open spaces.
- Prepare tissue strips: Take colored tissue papers and cut them into strips. Bright colors work best!
- Paste tissue on the back: Glue the tissue strips to the backside of your heart shapes, covering the open spaces.
- Trim the edges: Cut away any extra tissue paper that sticks out beyond the heart outline.
- Make it shine: Use your finished hearts as suncatchers—stick them on a window and watch the light shine through the colorful tissue.
