Also, keep the following points in mind when printing these templates:
- Print the girl and boy image templates on white printer paper.
- Print emotional faces on paper in different colors that match those faces. For example, use colors that you think are appropriate, such as yellow for a happy face and red for an angry face.
- If you like, you can let the children color the faces. But that makes this activity boring for the youngest children. So I suggest that it is better to print the faces on coloring sheets.
You can see below what templates we offer you.

🎨 Step 2: Color the boy and girl templates
- Next, take the two male and female image templates that you printed. Now distribute those templates among the children.
- Here, distribute the female image template to the girls and the male image template to the boys separately.
- Then, direct the children to color the templates. Give them the freedom to color the templates using the colors they like.
- You can also use a coloring medium suitable for young children when coloring. For example, you can use pencils, colored pencils, or markers.
✂ Step 3: Cut out the Faces
- Next, give the children the faces you printed on colored paper.
- Then, direct them to cut around the outlines of the faces.
- It helps develop children’s cutting skills.
- Also, they only have to cut around a circle shape, so even the youngest It won’t be difficult.
- But if they need your help, give it to them.
🌀 Step 4: Paste the faces
- After cutting out each emotion face, fold each face in half so the design is on the outside.
- Take your girl or boy template.
- Paste one half of the first face onto the head area of the template.
- Then, take the next folded face and paste its half on top of the previous face’s free half, making sure the faces are lined up neatly.
- Continue this process for all faces, pasting them side by side like a flip book, so kids can lift each flap to see a new emotion underneath.
