Ocean Crafts for Kids: What is this sailboat in a bottle craft?

We named this wonderful craft “Ocean Craft for Kids: Sailboat in a Bottle”. On this blog page, we are going to create a beautiful ocean. Certainly,  it will be a different experience for the children. Because we will create this ocean in a bottle. So you have a lot of experience with such creations. But we created this for the youngest children. So this is just a paper bottle ocean craft.

So, there are just a few simple steps for kids to follow. Then they can make their own sailboat out of a bottle. To do so, first gather the materials listed below. Then, create this ocean vessel by following the step-by-step instructions below.

📝 Step 1: Print the templates

• Access the PDF file through the link we have provided below. Then download the two templates from it. You can then print them. Also, for your convenience, these templates have been designed in A4 size.

• Don’t forget to use white printable pages when printing these; otherwise, it will be difficult for the kids to color.

🎨 Step 2: Color the parts

• Next, distribute the printed templates among the children. Also, provide them with a suitable color medium for coloring. For example, you can use pencils, colored pencils, or markers for this.

• Give children the freedom to use whatever colors they want when coloring. However, provide them with guidance on choosing the right colors.

• If you want, you can give children the opportunity to color these templates by looking at the example images below.

✂ Step 3: Cut out the pieces

• Later, take the template with the boat and fish. Then, carefully cut out the shapes one by one.

• Then, You will get a boat part with hull and mast parts, two sails, A heart, two fish, and 6 water bubbles.

• So some of the images here may be difficult for young children to cut out. The reason is that they are quite small. So you can cut out such images and give them to them.

🌊 Step 4: Paste the boat inside the bottle

• Now we are going to make the ocean in the bottle even more creative.

• Here, you need to paste the images you cut out one by one onto the template with the bottle.

• So, first, glue the hull and mast parts on top of the ocean inside the bottle. Then glue the two sails and the heart to complete the boat.

• Then glue the two fish in the ocean. Also, glue the water bubbles there.

✨ Step 5: Decorate (optional)

• Kids can decorate this craft however they like, using stickers, glitter, crayons, or whatever they like.
