You only need simple materials for this activity:

• A tray or box
• Clean sand, flour, or salt

If you don’t have sand, you can use rice, flour, or salt instead. They all give kids a similar sensory experience.

How to set up the sand drawing activity?

Print the pattern cards 

• First, access the PDF file using the link below. Then download the templates from it. You can download all of them or as many as you want.

• When printing, print directly onto cardboard if possible. Otherwise, print onto printer paper and see step 2 below.

• Moreover, use white or light-colored printing paper when printing. Otherwise, children will not be able to see the pattern clearly.

• Also, all pages are A4 size. We have prepared these templates as two pattern cards per page.

Turn printed paper into cards.

• Now let’s turn your printed pages into cards.

• The first thing you need to do is take some boards and stick your printed pages on them. Now let them dry well.

• Then cut out the pattern cards separately from the printed pages. Here, you need to cut neatly around the outline.
