Earth Day is a time to show love for our planet. This craft is a fun way for kids to make a colorful Earth using tissue paper. With simple steps like tearing, gluing, and pasting, children can create a bright Earth picture while learning that caring for our planet keeps it happy and healthy.

What You Need

  • Image templates
  • White sheets
  • Scissors
  • Clear sticky paper (contact paper)
  • Colorful tissue paper (tear or cut into small pieces)
  • Yarn or ribbon (optional for hanging)

How to Make:

  1. Print the images
    • Start with your Earth outline (circle or heart).
  2. Cut the outline
    • Carefully cut along the black lines.
  3. Stick to clear paper
    • Place the outline on a clear plastic or transparent sheet.
  4. Fill with tissue
    • Tear blue, green, and white tissue into small pieces.
    • Glue them inside the outline to make oceans, land, and clouds.
  5. Seal the design
    • Cover the tissue with another clear sheet and press gently.
  6. Trim the edges
    • Cut away extra clear paper around the outline.
  7. Add details – paste a smiling face, a heart shape, a flower crown, or hands to make the cute Earth.
  8. Display your suncatcher
