Earth Day is a time to show love and care for our planet. This craft lets kids make a smiling Earth with hugging hands, teaching them that protecting the Earth is like giving it a big hug. It’s fun, simple, and helps children understand how important it is to care for our world.
What You Need:
- Earth template (with or without face features)
- Eyes and mouth template
- Hand templates
- Colored sheet for background
- Crayons or markers
- Scissors
- Glue
How to Make:
Print and color
- Print all templates on white sheets.
- Color them using crayons or markers.
- Cut out each piece along the outline.
Prepare the background
- Take a colored sheet for the background.
- Place the Earth in the middle.
- Apply glue only in the center of the Earth and paste it down lightly.
Add the face
- Paste the eyes and mouth on the Earth’s face.
Attach the hands
- Paste the two hands on both sides, behind the Earth.
- Fully paste the Earth to the background page.
Make the hug
- Bend both hands forward.
- Paste the hand tips onto the Earth so it looks like the Earth is being hugged.
