Tulips are one of the prettiest spring flowers, and this craft lets kids make their own colorful tulip art using torn paper pieces. It’s simple, fun, and a great way to practice cutting, tearing, and pasting while creating bright decorations for home or the classroom.
What You Need
- Tulip templates (full flower, flower part, stem, and leaves)
- White sheets and green colored sheets
- Crayons or markers
- Colored papers (for torn pieces)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Craft board (optional, for strength)
How to Make
01. Print and color templates: Print the tulip templates. Color the stem and leaves with crayons, then cut out the flower template.
02. Tear colored paper pieces: Tear small pieces of colored paper to use for decorating the flower part.
03. Decorate flower part: Paste the torn paper pieces onto the flower section to create a colorful tulip head.
04. Attach stem and leaves: Cut out the green stem and leaves, then paste them onto the bottom and back of the flower part.
05: Try different template styles: You can use the full flower template, separate flower and stem pages, or stem and leaves pages to make tulips in different ways.
06: Make strong and display: Paste your tulip craft on the craft board for strength. Attach them together to make a garland or display them on a wall.
