Spring suncatchers are a fun way for kids to bring bright colors into the classroom or home. With easy templates, tissue paper, and clear sticker sheets, children can make cheerful designs that glow beautifully in the sunlight. This activity is simple, creative, and perfect for celebrating the season.
What You Need
- Printed suncatcher template (tree, rainbow, flower, or any spring design)
- White paper for printing
- Colored tissue paper squares
- Clear sticker sheets (or contact paper)
- Glue stick (optional)
- Safety scissors
- Markers/ crayons or Paints (for coloring parts you keep)

How to Make
Step 1: Print the template you want.
Step 2: Cut out the middle white parts, keeping only the outline.
- You don’t need to cut out every small detail — leave some parts if they are too tiny or if they add a nice look to your craft.
Step 3: Color any parts you decide to keep using markers or paints.
Step 4: Place the outline onto a clear sticker sheet (this makes it easy to work).
Step 5: Get colorful tissue paper squares and paste them inside the outline to fill the design.
Step 6: Cover the design with another clear sticker sheet to seal it.
Step 7: Cut along the outline and remove the extra parts.
Step 8: Stick your finished suncatcher on a window and enjoy the bright spring colors shining through.
