This heart jar craft is a sweet and easy Valentine’s Day activity for kids. They’ll love filling their jars with colorful paper hearts and decorating them any way they like. It’s perfect for classrooms, playdates, or a fun afternoon at home.

What You Need

  • Printed or hand-drawn jar shapes
  • Printed or hand-drawn heart shapes
  • Colored paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Black or white background paper
  • Ribbon for hanging

How to Make

  1. Print or draw your shapes: Start by printing or drawing a jar shape and some hearts on colored paper.
  2. Cut them out: Cut out the hearts separately.
    • If you’re using a white sheet, you can leave the jar printed on the page.
    • If you’re using a black sheet, cut out the jar and glue it onto the black paper.
  3. Decorate your jar: Paste the hearts inside the jar and spilling out from the top. You can also glue extra hearts around the jar for decoration.
  4. Add a ribbon: Attach a ribbon at the top so you can hang your heart jar craft.
