This animal heart craft is a sweet and simple activity for kids. It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day, friendship themes, or just a cozy afternoon of creativity. Children get to decorate a big heart using torn paper pieces, then add it to a cute animal drawing like a panda, bear, or bunny. It’s a fun way to explore textures, colors, and emotions—all while building fine motor skills.

What You Need

  • Printed animal template (panda, bear, bunny, etc.)
  • White or colored paper
  • Red, pink, and white Tissue paper for tearing
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors (optional)
  • Black marker or crayon

How to Make

  1. Print or draw your animal — Choose a simple animal face holding a heart. You can print a template or draw one yourself.
  2. Tear paper pieces — Tear red, pink, and white tissue paper into small pieces. No need to be perfect—rough edges look great!
  3. Decorate the heart — Fill the heart shape with the torn paper pieces. Glue them down one by one until the heart is full.
  4. Add details — Use a black marker to outline the animal or add features like eyes, nose, and mouth.
  5. Let it dry — Once everything is glued, let the craft dry.
  6. Display your art — Hang it up, give it as a card, or use it as a classroom decoration.
