What You Need

  • Printed Christmas tree template
  • Cardboard (for sturdy backing)
  • Crayons (green, red, yellow, etc.)
  • Red yarn or ribbon (for garland)
  • Glue stick or liquid glue
  • Scissors
  • Optional: Laminating sheets or clear sticker paper

How to Make It

Step 1: Print the Christmas tree template. You can use regular paper or cardstock.

Step 2: Glue the template onto cardboard to make it strong and long-lasting. You can also trace and cut the shape directly from the colored board.

Step 3: Cut out the tree shape carefully along the outline.

Step 4: Color the tree using crayons—green for the tree, brown for the trunk, and bright colors for ornaments and the star.

Step 5: Cut a piece of red yarn and glue it in a wavy pattern across the tree to create a garland effect.

Step 6: (Optional) Laminate the craft or cover the back with another board cutout for a neat finish.

Step 7: Punch a small hole at the top and add yarn or ribbon to hang it up or turn it into a garland!
