Celebrate the beauty of autumn with this hands-on paper craft that lets kids explore patterns, colors, and creativity! Using simple materials, children can design vibrant tree canopies and build their own fall forest masterpiece.
What You’ll Need:
- Colored papers in fall shades (red, orange, yellow, brown)
- White paper (for tree trunks)
- Black paper (for background)
- Scissors ✂️
- Glue stick
- Black marker or pen
- Printable canopy templates (patterned or blank)

How to Make It:
1. Prepare the Canopy Templates
- Print the canopy shapes on colored paper using fall tones.
- Choose between pre-patterned templates or blank ones.
- If using blank canopies, let kids draw their own patterns with black markers — zigzags, dots, stripes, or swirls!
2. Cut Out the Pieces
- Carefully cut out each tree canopy.
- On white paper, draw and cut out simple trunk shapes — straight or slightly curved for variety.
3. Build Your Fall Forest
- Take a sheet of black paper as your background.
- First, glue the white trunks in place.
- Then, glue the colorful canopies above each trunk to complete the trees.
