Easy Mushroom Coloring and Fall Craft for Kids

What is this Mushroom Coloring and Fall Craft?

This is an autumn craft with a mushroom theme. We have also provided you with mushroom coloring page templates with different patterns. It allows children to color and learn about patterns. Although mushrooms are the main theme, you can also find a coloring page with autumn leaves here. They can add an autumn atmosphere to your creations. In addition, you can make your mushroom coloring page more attractive by cutting and pasting grass into the lower area of the mushroom pages.

How to make this Mushroom Coloring and Fall Craft:

01. Download and print the templates:

First, print the templates given below. We have prepared 10 A4 size pages.

– Leaf template: 1

If you print the mushrooms without a pattern here, let the children draw a pattern of their choice.

02. Color the printed templates:

Next, color the printed mushroom template and the template with leaves. Use autumn shades to color the leaves.

03. Cut and paste the grass:

Now let’s cut the grass. For that, take two dark and light green papers.
Then cut two strips from them that are 21 cm long (equivalent to A4 width) and 7 cm wide.
Next, draw pencil lines in the shape of the grass and cut along them.
First, glue the dark green part to the bottom of the mushroom coloring page.
Then glue the light green part on top of it. Then you need to glue the light green part on top of it. But don’t glue it all the way. Just glue the uncut bottom part. Roll the remaining top part forward with the help of a pencil.

04. Cut and paste leaves:

Add an autumn vibe to the mushroom coloring page by cutting and pasting autumn leaves.
To do this, first cut out the colored leaves separately. (Since these images are quite small, you can help the children cut them out.)
Then paste the cut out images into the white blank spaces around the mushrooms.

05. Display you Craft:

All of the class’s creations can be attached together and the finished mushroom craft can be used as a wall decoration or as a garland. Otherwise, display them on the craft board.

Tips for Teachers and Parents:

To get kids more creative, you can use the mushroom outline coloring page here (without the mushroom patterns). It gives them a chance to draw patterns and adds another step to this activity.
You can use a different step instead of using the autumn leaves template here. To do this, let them draw and color autumn leaves around the mushrooms. This is a great opportunity for children to think creatively.
When coloring, give them the freedom to use the colors they like. Also, use a coloring medium that is easy for them.
When cutting the grass, fold the two strips of paper into equal parts and draw the shape of the grass on them. This allows you to do it very quickly and easily.
Children can draw or stick flowers or small animals like snails and caterpillars on the grass. They can also draw the sky, clouds, or raindrops on the mushrooms. This way, let them draw whatever they want in this craft.
